The Fight. The Fears. The Tears.

Ahhh, I can't believe I am doing this.

1. I should be doing HW, its the summer and I am getting burnt out fast.

2. I am usually very private but this doesn't feel too bad

My story: (My fight with flab)
Not glam, sad, or crazy but pretty normal. I was always skinny...tear, in those days I even thought I tried to put on weight. I am tall, 5'10 to be exact and so I guess through all the growth spurts I needed the additional fuel, I could literally eat whatever I wanted. I played sports all through school so I stayed active and healthy with delicious homemade meals cooked by my mother every evening.

Enter college:

Beer, beer, booze, food (awful food), sleep(only during the waking hrs)....wait I forgot I was there to study, riiiight. That was the beginning of the freshman 15 I put on. It still didn't look overly awful since at the time I my few pounds heavier put me into a more normal weight catagory, it gave me some curves if nothing else. With a drink in each hand, I basically slurred through my first year and didn't get very good grades, blame it on not going to class.

Why I am blabbing on and on and on... I have recently started a new chapter in my life. What, you ask? I found CROSSFIT.
OMG this is tough stuff. Run, jump, lift, die, gasp....puke? (yes I puke sometimes).
I have a nickname at the local place I workout at(box, I believe you crossfitters call it)Peeps. Ok this name came about because I have a love for candy. It just so happened to be around Easter time when I stopped at the local grocery to induldge, keep in mind this was only hours before my WOD. Yes, I puked up my Easter-time special. From that day forward I was known as Peeps, like the fluffy bunny candy. It wasn't my first time and wont be my last since I just almost did it again. I am not sure what the allure of candy is to me, but that BAD,AWFUL,DELICIOUS, bad for you candy gets me every now again and I can't help myself.
What my goals are on this blog:
  1. Post recipes- Paleo-ish but by no means is it strict
  2. My fight through it
  3. To have fun
